	A Blast from the Past With Nacra 16 Square's returning to Bunbury recently to form part of the new 16 square fleet racing in W.A. it sent me searching thru the archives. I managed to find this nice shot of Nacra racing in its hayday in Bunbury (KBSC) taken around 1991. The good news is Nacra is once again dominating the numbers at KBSC with 8 boats now based back at the club.

	NACRA 16 Squares coming to W.A. For the first time in nearly 20 years W.A. will have a Large one man Cat. Not since the heyday of Jervious Bay Sailing Club when a large 18 Square fleet sailed regually have we had a large single hander in W.A. Three Nacra 16 Squares are heading for Koombana Bay in Bunbury and will be on the water for opening day. 1 Brand new boat currently under construction and 2 older boats are on their way.

F18 Worlds, Yeppoon Queensland. Nacra Infusion does well, placing 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th of the top ten boats. For a new boat only just released it was a credit to NACRA to have 22 Infusion's at the event. Goose Marine was at the event and a report of our learnings may be read in the Articles page. The exceptional design features of the Infusion makes this the boat of choice and following the event 6 Infusions changed hands as potential owners scramble to purchase boats.

	Nacra and Maricat Nationals 2007 Goose Marine would like to congratulate the winners of the Nacra and Maricat nationals held at RQYS. With 59 boats competing, all credit goes to the Qld Nacra assoc. and the RQYS for conducting a very enjoyable and social week of sailing. Full race report and results available. First Nacra Infusions Arrive in Australia. The first Australian "Infusion" being rigged at Brisbane Catamaran Centre last week. Roscoe Guinea is seen inspectioning the new boat, which debuted at the Humpty Bong regatta last weekend.

Photo left. Nacra Infusion Sailed by Warren Guinea on Brisbane's Moreton Bay With three infusions sailing only days after arriving in Australia, Don Dull managed a 2nd at the event. The other two sailed by Warren Guinea and Andrew Holden showed that once the bugs are ironed out these boat's will be a force on the F18 scene.

Nacra 36R, the latest boat out of the “Nacra” stable. Ross Guinea rebuilds the 36. The original build in the mid seventies as a Roland 36 has been given new lines to produce the latest Nacra. Seen here is Ross Guinea (front right), Warren Guinea (left rear) and our own local SW man Ryan Duffield (back right). Laying up the big hulls was an all in job and we just happen to have been in Brisbane when this hull was being laid up. Not only does the new boat look good, a late report from the owner of the first boat delivered is that he has cracked 30 knots on the inbuilt speedo. A remarkable effort given that this is the “Resort”  version built to survey, reduced rig, main sail only and a lot of safety equipment. See full article courtesy of “Multihull World” magazine.
