Western Australian F18 series and inaugural King of Carnac Marathon.

Jervious Bay Sailing Club will be conducting an F18 series this year and the Inaugural King of Carnac Marathon for high performance cats, windsurfers and kite boards.

The Carnac event is by invitation only and if you wish to compete you will need to apply prior to the event. Spaces are limited to 30 of each class. See Jervious Bay sailing club web site for details.

I have got some final dates on the F18 Series/F18 State Championships

Please be mindful of the end result here. We are trying to prove to the rest of Australia that we have active F18 sailors here in Perth so we can attract a National Champs here.

We are also trying to boost the interest in F18’s and hopefully get some more boats on the water.

16^th Nov Heats 1,2,3 Note that it is the day after the “King of Carnac” Race. Camping will be available I would love all of you to participate in that race also.

14^th Dec Heats 2,3,4 This will also incorporate a Xmas Party at the Yacht club.

8^th Feb Heats 5,6,7 We would have already arrived back from the F18 Nats I will make sure of it.

28^th Feb,1^st,2^nd March Heats 8,9,10 this will be run in conjunction with the Round the Sound Regatta.

22^nd March Heats 11,12,13 Last heats and there will be a presentation afterwards.

Would love to get as many boats as possible.

We will be running short windward and returns and there will be also Americas cup style courses thrown in occasionally. Reach start, downwind, upwind, Downwind, Reach finish.

Please note that the King of Carnac race is the 15^th Nov and nomination is by application only and applications are on the web.

Once you apply to the Race committee they will review the application and invite you to nominate.

This is because we only have 30 spots for Cats and I would prefer they are all fast cats.
